Ways to Prevent Corruption Presented by DSUIA Scientists Conjointly with Colleagues from another Region

Education under the topic “Key Provisions of Establishing Honesty and Preventing Corruption for MIA Staff of the Region” has been completed at Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs. The seminar was initiated for staff of MIA system institutions in Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions.

The event was held with total respecting sanitary-and-epidemic prevention norms. To connect with colleagues speakers used ZOOM.

Education was performed for specialists from the Regional Service Center of the Main Service Center of the MIA in Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions, Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad Scientific-Research and Expert-Criminalistics Center of the MIA, state institution “Territorial Medical Unity of the MIA of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk Region”, etc.

The event was officially opened by Larysa Nalyvaiko, DSUIA Vice-Rector, and Anatolii Fodchuk, Head of the MIA Corruption Prevention Department.

List of speakers included Roman Tereshchenko, DSUIA Commissioner for anti-corruption activities; Volodymyr Shablystyi, professor of DSUIA Criminal Law and Criminology Department; Dmytro Perekhrest, Head of the 6th Department (combatting corruption) of the Strategic Investigations Department in Dnipropetrovsk region of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine; Zhanna Rekova, criminal investigator of the 4th Department (combatting organized criminal groups at state power bodies) of the Strategic Investigations Department in Dnipropetrovsk region of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine, as well as Roman Myroniuk and Hanna Blinova, professors of Administrative Law, Process and Administrative Activity Department of DSUIA.

Participants delivered their reports with detailed focus on administrative responsibility for violating anti-corruption legislation of Ukraine; evaluating corruption risks in the activity of state bodies and legal entities; organizing operation of a public law legal entity in cooperation with business partners; organizing work to create conditions for notifying on anti-corruption legislation requirements violations and processing such notifications.

At the end of the event Serhii Yaremenko, Head of the Corruption Prevention Department of the MIA of Ukraine, addressed to all the participants with the final speech.
