Patrol police inspectors from Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Poltava regions, who are currently undergoing advance training at Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, had a meeting with Olesia Bilko, a specialist of the Service in Children’s Issues of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration.
Practical classes were performed in terms of “Prevention and Combatting Domestic Violence” and “Counteraction between Police and Society” disciplines.
In course of the educational process police officers together with Mykola Repan, senior lecturer of Administrative Law, Process and Administrative Activity Department, have considered actual problems of protecting children appeared in difficult life situations. Cases suggested for consideration were the real situations from practice shared by speakers and law enforcements themselves.
Police officers had to decide upon responding to each particular situation taking into account the actual legislation norms and existing practices.
Mykola Repan told that such classes for police officers will become systematic, since interaction between police and other children protection social structures is a process to be worked over and mastered.
“During the training we have established interaction instruments between self-government bodies, services in children’s issues, social service centers, educational institutions, police and healthcare establishments. Thus, we have embraced the process of social protection provision to children appeared in difficult life situations the most widely”, Mykola Repan stated.
