Exam in a Police Quest Format: How DSUIA Cadets Check Their Training Level?

More than 80 cadets from the Faculty of Strategic Investigations have passed state examination in profile disciplines to obtain Bachelor degree.

State exams were held in the format of a police quest. Invited practitioners of the Strategic Investigations Department in Dnipropetrovsk region of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine evaluated cadets’ knowledge and skills.

The committee included Andrii Danyliak, head of the Strategic Investigations Department in Dnipropetrovsk region, police colonel, and Viktor Didenko, deputy head of the Strategic Investigations Department in Dnipropetrovsk region, police colonel.

The state exam had two stages. During the theoretic part cadets answered the questions in writing.

The police quest constituted the second part of the exam. In the process of checking professional skills cadets had to solve 5 different cases: to process operative information and arrest a code-bound criminal; to cease the activity of an organized group dealing with firearms trafficking; to detect and cease the activity of an organized group dealing with kidnapping; to cease criminal activity of persons expanding criminal impact and dealing with drug trafficking in detention facilities; to document and prevent targeted murder.

Cadets were divided into groups in accordance with the cases. Guys and girls were moving along the territory, while performing each stage of the quest.

It shall be mentioned that cadets will graduate from Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs soon. They will obtain police officer ranks and start performing their duties at practical strategic investigation subdivisions.
