Cadet Shoulder Marks Have Been Handed Over Finally

The traditional camp assembly has come to an end at Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs. 500 first-year cadets passed two-week express course of cadet life and obtained shoulder marks after special tests.

They have been lining up on the ground since the very morning. It was an important day for those, who had just finished their school life, – cadet shoulder marks handing over and police service official start.

Andrii Fomenko, Rector of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, police colonel, greeted first-year cadets.

“Today is an important day for you – camp assembly has finished. And this very event means the start of your adult, independent and grounded way to new knowledge, achievements and professional development in favour of Ukraine. You will obtain cadet shoulder marks, which symbolize your worthy choice and confident step to your future”, Andrii Fomenko stated.

Rector Andrii Fomenko and responsible officers started the most long-awaited ceremony – cadet shoulder marks handing over to first-year cadets.

Afterwards the command sounded: “Shoulder marks fastened!”

In terms of the event awarding of the winners of sports competitions held during camp assembly was performed.

Thus, the best results in the overall standings the team of the Preventive Activity Faculty showed.

Besides, the Faculty of Strategic Investigations became the best one under the results of ceremonial review during camp assembly.

Cadets did not hide their emotions. Camp assembly was difficult, but gave particular experience and desire to provide public security.

“I expected the camp assembly to be extremely hard, but everything went well and was interesting. I liked subjects, which will be of use in my professional activity. And we got used to а new schedule very quickly”, Veronika Kisiliova, a cadet from the Faculty of Strategic Investigations, told.

“Adaptation period was not easy, but personally I got used to it fast and found new friends there. Preliminary preparation helped me. I knew what to expect, since my friends studied at DSUIA and they told me about the peculiarities of camp assembly as well as cadet life”, Andrii Shevchenko, a cadet from the Faculty of Strategic Investigations, said.

At the end of the solemn event cadets passed ceremonial step. Starting from September 1 they will begin their studies at DSUIA.
