European Methods of Combating Domestic Violence: International Workshop at DSUIA

“Domestic Violence” workshop is conducted at Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs for the second time. It is organized by the AEPC Association.

Progressive concepts of combating domestic violence used in European countries will be considered by police officers from Malta, Austria, Belgium, as well as teachers from Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, National Academy of Internal Affairs, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, etc.

The event was opened by Larysa Nalyvaiko, Vice-Rector of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs. She noted that the workshop “Domestic Violence” had already been successfully implemented in the institution in 2019, and experts had received wonderful opportunity to exchange with professional achievements.

“For us, holding such an event is important, in particular, to identify new areas of cooperation. In addition, we at DSUIA apply a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach in the training of cadets and students, and therefore pay attention to the issue of combating domestic violence. I hope that this event will be effective and useful in course of exchanging experience in combating domestic violence”, Larysa Nalyvaiko said.

Mario Krebs, Secretary of the Association of European Police Colleges, congratulated participants on the opening of the workshop.

“Greetings to all the participants! I sincerely wish you fruitful work in the framework of the workshop “Domestic Violence”, the speaker said.

The workshop will last for 3 days. During the classes, participants will work on analyzing cases of domestic violence and identifying effective methods of counteraction that are already successfully used in European countries. Thus, participants will solve cases in groups.

Under the results of the workshop, the participants will obtain certificates.
