Collection of Evidence of russian War Crimes in Ukraine: DSUIA Expert Shared the Experience with Norwegian Colleagues

Dmytro Sanakoiev, Head of the Department of Financial and Strategic Investigations of DSUIA, delivered an open lecture in English for 47 masters of Norwegian Police University College. The event was conducted in a distance format in terms of Erasmus+ program.

The lecture “Collection of Evidence Related to Crimes Committed during Armed Aggression of russia in Ukraine” was addressed to master students with professional practice in the field of investigating criminal violations.

According to Dmytro Sanakoiev, the audience expressed special interest to particular examples illustrated the specificity of a preliminary investigation stage of war crimes by the subdivisions of the National Police of Ukraine.

Besides, our Norwegian colleagues showed their interest to the international assistance to law enforcement bodies of Ukraine in terms of investigation by foreign partners, peculiarities of obtaining the information from open sources by means of OSINT, specificity of collecting evidence under the standards and principles of the International Criminal Court as well as expert examinations.
