Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs conducted international seminar training “Application of Up-to-Date Technologies in Tactical and Fire Training of Law Enforcement Forces of Ukraine”. The representatives of professional educational subdivisions of the National Police of Ukraine as well as specialists in tactical special training of the MIA HEIs took part in the event. Details about the training and its results are below.

Serhii Komissarov, DSUIA vice-rector, police general of the third rank, opened the training. He mentioned that the event was conducted due to the close cooperation between the University and the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Ukraine.
“Personally I is a practitioner in the first turn, thus, today’s event is important and really interesting for me. Such projects must be implemented. Practice is the key direction of activity for a police officer. The opportunity to work over action algorithms for future professional activity is vital”, Serhii Komissarov pointed out.
Kostadin Kodzhabashev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Ukraine, emphasized the importance of the event as well. He stressed that successful implementation of the project “Tactics of Using Firearms during Simulating Service Combat Situations (Acquisition of Simulator)” financed by the “Bulgarian Development Aid” would contribute in more qualitative and advance training of future police officers.
“Issues stipulated for discussion during the seminar will create favourable conditions for strengthening bilateral cooperation and implementation of mutual scientific innovations by Bulgarian and Ukrainian scientists. I believe that common efforts in this area will fasten the development of friendly relations and collaboration between the Republic of Bulgaria and Ukraine”, he stresses.
Training participants exchanged with their experience and the best European educational practices in tactical and fire training of law enforcement bodies using up-to-date technologies. Besides, the seminar included working over skills of firearms application in different public order security situations. Simulation of police activity algorithms took place in the special shooting range with up-to-date simulation equipment opened due to the support of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Opportunities and principles of the multimedia shooting range work were presented by Vitalii Pokaichuk, head of DSUIA Tactical Special Training Department; Vasyl Polyvaniuk, associate professor of DSUIA Tactical Special Training Department; Vadym Fursa, senior lecturer of DSUIA Tactical Special Training Department. Therefore, trainers explained the features of the “Fire Exercises Constructor “Gun” and “Exercises Constructor “IPSC”, etc., used in the process of training cadets and acting police officers.
Moreover, legal grounds for applying firearms as well as methodology of using up-to-date equipment in tactical special and fire training of police officers were discussed in course of the seminar training. In addition, the participants exchanged with their professional skills of treating weapons.
