Valentyn Kopaiev, Head of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine, police colonel, visited Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs. Together with Andrii Fomenko, DSUIA Rector, police colonel, he communicated with cadets of the Educational-and-Scientific Institute of Law and Training Specialists for the National Police Units.
The speaker told about the peculiarities of operation of the Strategic Investigations Department and gave future law enforcements some professional advice.
In particular, he mentioned that the SID showed quite good results due to the application of a combination of special technical tools and analytics.
Moreover, Valentyn Kopaiev highlighted the actuality of professional training of staff at DSUIA.
“Contributing in education we contribute in ourselves. The higher quality of training cadets, the better qualification of specialists at our subdivisions, who detect, cease and prevent illegal activity of dangerous organized groups and criminal organizations”, the head of the Strategic Investigations Department stated.
Cadets of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs took an opportunity and communicated with the experienced practitioner. Future police officers asked about the dynamics of efficient combatting organized criminal groups since the SID had been established. Methods of enhancing the Department operation were also of interest for them.
Valentyn Kopaiev emphasized the efficiency of unprecedented tools used by the Department specialists and applicability of the National Security and Defense Council’s sanctions mechanism against criminal lords and barons.
Rector Andrii Fomenko thanked the head of the Department for his visit and claimed that the meeting with a practitioner was a valuable experience for cadets.
